Brotherhood Ministry Overview:
Motto: Training to serve, serving to lead, leading to standard.
Goal: To bring lives into a Christian relationship with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit through
evangelism, discipleship and fellowship.
Mission Statement: We, the layman of the church of Jesus Christ, in order to carry out the will of our
heavenly Father, by making His Word and Spirit, our daily Guide, do ordain and establish our meetings
together on a weekly basis.
Name: The organization shall be known as M.O.S.E.S. (Men Obeying the Standard Earthly Serving),
worshipping at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Objective: The objective of the Brotherhood Ministry is to harness every layman, junior or senior in
Bethlehem Baptist Church for His special use; that His Church might take the lead in every thing in the
time world. Its membership shall be any and all layman, junior and senior, who are members of the
church of Christ Jesus and Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Ministry: The men of M.O.S.E.S. meet weekly on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
We gather together to discuss the Brotherhood Ministry Business Agenda. We study the Scriptures to
grow as men of God. The ministry supports the congregation through M.O.S.E.S. Projects upon request.
The ministry sponsors Summer Friday Night Family Movie nights during the summer. The ministry
sponsors the Men’s Conference held yearly in August in conjunction with the Annual Men’s Day.
The ministry sponsors the M.O.S.E.S. lock-in in the month of November of each year. The ministry
supports the long-distance travel of the church through preparation of the vans for such trips through
cleaning, checking and drivers as required. The ministry is also involved in the citywide Brotherhood
ministry wherein brothers of the ministry serve in leadership roles. The ministry strives to instill in the
brothers of the church to rise and take their rightful place in the world, the church, the community and
the home.
